fantastic! nothing else to it

These pickups are amazing.
I threw them into my PRS SE Custom 24 replacing the stock 85/15 Neck & Bridge pickups, I wanted the extra "umph" from actives but with the clarity and fullness of passives and when I saw Jim Root (my favourite guitarist) had a signature set out that he described what kinda pickup I wanted I knew these were the ones for me.

These pickups sound incredible, they are described as being a retro active version of the classic EMG 81/60 and they really do sound like it. I run these into an orange dark terror and they are brutal, but can surprisingly clean up really well on low gain settings on the neck with a slight role off in volume, these are very versatile pickups.

Pros:
The EMG quick connect makes the installation incredibly easy and if you make a mistake, like lets say put the bridge pickup in the neck and the neck in the bridge (yes I did that) its an easy fix.
There versatile.
The big one they sound and feel great to play.

Cons:
The cream in the zebra colour is very bright, if your planing on putting them in a guitar like the PRS SE the cream is quit abit lighter but that's only aesthetic so it shouldn't effect you at all.

Hope this helps anyone looking at these, it will be money well spent.

Awesome

Thomann)))

Slight twist on a classic

Swapped 81/60 out for these. As with the 57/66 they feel more alive than 81/60. Its a good thing if you want a varied tone and react to your pick attack.

Solderless, easy to install, no noise at all, mean sounding

First time swapping pickups from passive to active, they do sound mean, but has tons pf clarity, look fantastic on my tele, highly recommend if you want a pickup that is a hybrid between passive and active, I have Harley Benton with super 70s emgs, it seems like daemonums are hotter, but seems to not to lose any clarity, these will compliment high gained tone, but always remember, speaker is no 1 reason for your tone.
