Great speaker replacement on the Peavey Bandit 112
Pete-plays-guitar 17.01.2021
After seeing many reviews on Youtube on the benefits of replacing the stock speaker in a Peavey Bandit 112 with the Eminence Texas Heat, I took the plunge and ordered it. Thomann provides a great price for this speaker.
The speaker came very well packed and it weighs a little more than the stock Blue Marvels speakers.
The speaker itself took around 20 minutes to remove the stock speaker and fit the Texas Heat. All the hole lined up perfectly in the Texas Heat for the screws.
The sound is considerable better. The vintage and classic channel on the clean side of the amp, no longer have the ice pick brittle high end. I am running a Line6 Helic Stomp into the amp and the sound is much fuller and less piecing. Also with gain pedals there is distinct reduction in the fizziness on the top end.
The weight of the amplifier has increased slightly but the change in tone of the amp outweighs easily the weight increase.
All in all, I would highly recommend changing to this speaker if you are suffering from high end fizziness and need an overall better warth to your sound.
Also comes with nice plate to screw to the front grill.

Very good speaker for metal .
Heavy_Metal_Trash 28.04.2021
I use this speaker in conjunction with the marshall dsl 40cr . Texas heat removed the extra upper frequencies that stood out strongly with the celestion v-type(base) speaker. Noticeably added low frequencies, pleasantly enveloping the whole room ,but the sound did not become deaf .among the advantages I can note: 1. Pleasant timbre . 2. Perfect for metal. 3. Good clear sound and nice crunch. Minuses:1. They are not there.

Oh, how I love this one!
Brian Bajak 09.05.2021
Love the sound, using it in 2x12 cab together with V30. Playing mostly high-gain sounds, but also a lot of cleans and crunches, tried it with many amps.
Mostly micing it with e606 or vintage big diaphragm condenser (FLEA Monday (U87 style I guess)), but also Shure sm57 or Audix i5 do great.
