Better Than I Hoped For!
MJ Klein 03.03.2024
Right off, the 4 stars in Quality are because the bridge pickup was angled towards the neck. It was an assembly error that was easily remedied when I changed the strings. The fret quality is good with no sharp edges. Once I got the neck relief adjusted and installed the strings I like and adjusted the bridge for them, this guitar was off the chain!

The looks are incredible. The satin finish is gorgeous and really shows off the beautiful Korina body and neck. Epiphone has done an excellent job matching up the grain at the centerline. It really looks stunning! This thing is a monster that will immediately draw attention so get used to the stares while playing it! The tone of the neck pickup is milky smooth and the bite of the bridge pickup is edgier than anything I've ever played, and yet, it's not overly aggressive, but actually very smooth and it blends in a mix very well while maintaining presence. The balance is excellent but be mindful of the top-facing strap button. Controls are smooth and she cleans up very nicely. The neck is fat (like a baseball bat cut in 1/2!) and the high note access is beyond belief. One can easily play on the neck pickup! The period-correct case is a blast too! I love the hot pink color!

The '58 Flying V has been a dream of mine for decades and with this new model by Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop, it has been fulfilled in a way that goes beyond my expectations! The only problem is - now I'm very curious about the Explorer in the same series!

Korina Flying V by Epiphone
Epiphone Korina V 13.08.2024
This guitar right out of the box sounds and plays like a dream! Fretboard ends are great controls feel a little cheap but only the knobs the pots are CTS so they are great. The neck is as straight as an arrow and there is not one blemish in the finish anywhere on the guitar. As far as quality control it is definitely the best guitar I have purchased in the last 5 years!! The pickups and sounds you can get out of this guitar are truly awesome and the neck is my favorite as it’s the first time I am playing a D shape neck and all I can say is wow!! I love this guitar so much it is by far my favorite of the ones I own!!

JN
Horrible fret job
John Nada777 28.11.2024
When I got the guitar, I noticed the frets were really sharp. Once I gave it a decent look, I saw that none of the fret ends were fitted in the fretboard, they were completely sticking out. This shouldn't happen on any guitar, but for an inspired by Gibson Custom Shop Epiphone in this price range us really bad. It even seemed like Thomann checked the guitar before shipping, as the box was re-closed with different tape, which would make it even worse. In general I really love the current Epiphones, but my Firebird and Les Paul Special came out of the box without issues at less than half the price.

The sound of the guitar was good, the looks were cool, but it was shockingly unplayable due to the frets and horrible setup.
