Good for the money
RobC 03.06.2013
In my opinion these acoustic tiles are a great addition to any small setup, they fit together nicely unlike other makes where the edges wont line up for love nor money. They fix to the wall easily and (based on my experience using a carpet adhesive spray) will peel off the wall without leaving chunks behind if you should you later realise that your original positioning is just a bit wonky.
As with many low cost acoustic treatments they are rather thin, measuring about 5mm at the base, so in terms of sound reduction it only really effect frequencies along the higher end of the spectrum. In some cases this is all or exactly what is needed, but if you (like myself) need to tame frequencies further down the spectrum you can either mount them with a small air gap between the foam and your wall/surface (using a 1'' frame for example), or use two tiles on top of one another. By doing this a lot more of the midrange frequencies are dulled down.

Basically any small setup could benefit from acoustic treatment, for those looking to save a few pennies in the process these are ideal, and can be adapted to help absorb further down the midrange if you are prepared to be more creative when mounting them.

Cool and functional !

These foams reduced the re flexion problems in my control room and recording room! some of them are mounted with Velcro tape and others "glued" to the wall, really easy to remove and with the velcro you can change the placement for different absorption / acoustics.

Ideal for a small room set up
Sparky 29.08.2019
I've just finished turning my spare room into a basic recording room. I wanted some effective sound treatment without breaking the bank. I used 60 of these on solid walls.
I must say that they do exactly what I was looking for.
Kills enough reverb for amateur recording to be clean and dead.
Easy to install, but use enough glue the fire retarding foam tends to come away from just a few dots of glue,
Looks good ... very happy with the results
Finally ... keeps your room nice and warm in the winter!!!!

T
good for home studio work
Tomi-K 13.09.2020
Foam is well suited for home studios. in bigger rooms and louder settings, lacks some "damping" clarity, and some highs still get through it and do buzzing/unwanted feedback. if you need it for home recording and demoing, they are well balanced for the price they are asking

Basic acoustic treatment
Jimmy4139 08.09.2015
Bought these to damp a song and guitar booth in my home studio. The quality is not bad, just a little residue on some that can easily be removed. The blue looks good and complements the grey ones very good also. They are easy too install because they are very lightweight. They damp very well in the upper frequencies, maybe a little to well. Covered two walls completely in my song/guitar booth and its almost too "dead". So i you have problems in the higher frequencies then they work very good. In the middle and low frequencies they are not so good.
Hope this helps.

A must have for any Studio!
Larry F. 19.08.2015
Not the most expensive acoustic treatment in Thomanns arsenal but definitely does exactly what it is supposed to do. They have taken the ring out of my listening environment and work really well behind my monitors and in my monitoring area. Uses inside the vocal booth... close the door.. silence! I will buy more thomann of that you can be sure.

They work very well. Good for home recording or small studio room. They're good at cutting out unwanted noise in the higher frequency range. Very lightweight and easy to apply

Good quality acoustic tiles
gmnrec 17.12.2018
Good quality tiles from EQ Acoustics. Easy to use / install, but i would recommend creating a simple light platform to stick them on, e.g. very light plywood. Different colours also available..
