Does what I need it to do
JohnnyGuitar 19.06.2017
I used these to reduce the reverb of high frequencies in my room. If you have been reading around on the internet, you should know that these things are only good for high frequencies.

In that regard they work great. Placed on the walls at ear level and above. The room is a lot more pleasant to work in.

Do NOT get these if:
- You want your recordings to sound much better but don't want to get/make bass traps (you simply need more mass for the energy of low frequency waves)
- You want less sound to escape from your room (these don't isolate)

Get these if:
- Your room has more high frquency reverb than st paul's cathedral

A side note: playing and singing in the room definitely sounds and feels a lot better with just these installed.

Tip: You can place them on the wall using double sided tape, cardboard and strong glue. Use the cardboard from the box. Cut 4 small squares for the 4 corners of each panel. Glue those onto the foam. Then put double sided tape on the cardboard corners and just stick em to your walls.

All that you need for a small studio
Anonymous 28.02.2017
I've bougth these to dampen the reflection in my home studio and the result is fantastic. The room is significantly dryer than it was. To me price is great for the results you get. I don't see how I will get any more dampening from a more expensive product.

The quality of the wedges are great. Its made up out of audio foam and is cut to precision. Some people have complained about the faint chemical smell of the product when you first unpack it. To me I've not found that to be true. I suppose it might depend on the amount of air flow in your room. And in that case just make sure you unpack it and let it stand for a week. But I've not had any issue with that.

These foam tiles does all that I need it to do. And if the room is still too reflective I just add more tiles to it. But I have found that with these tiles I can deaden the room completely if I choose to. And so you can control the amount of reflection by just controlling how much of the tiles you add to your space.

Also its advisable to get proper tile glue to fix these to your walls. Because double sided tape does not stick well to the foam.

EQ Acoustics Classic Wedge Foam review
Davide A. 04.06.2013
These panels are made of good quality material, and have a relatively low price. They cut well the medium and high frequencies (analysis done with Room EQ), but do not exaggerate with them otherwise your room would sound ‘dead’. My experience is that (wisely) covering ~40% of your walls it would be enough. I also used them to make my own corner-bass-traps, where two walls meet with the ceiling. I just used a cartoon support on top of which I glued 4 of these panels. The result was beautiful: it effectively reduced the corner bass reflections; it is very flexible because you can decide size and shape of the acoustic element, therefore you can also place it where it is more convenient accordingly to your acoustic needs; and this solution is much cheaper than any other ready-to-use corner-bass-trap.

Perfect for low cost audio treatment
Svetlin Simeonov 03.06.2021
I got these for more than two years now. Works perfect in my room, I glued these by groups of 4 as big square 60cm X 60cm on some Depron sheets. This way installation on wall was much easier with 2 nails for each panel. My Room is about 15m2 and this removed totally all the echo with mid/high frequency. Price is great too!

Just for info If you want to tame low freq then you need bass traps - these do not absorb lows.

Good for high and mid-high frequencies.
Mihai Sorohan 31.12.2019
I put those in my studio, in a chess table pattern, they do a pretty good job taming reflections of high and mid-high frequencies. I installed them for some years already, they hold pretty well, no decomposing, no strange odors, no problems.
Good product for a good price.

Far better than I'd hoped
Michael W. 151 29.05.2016
The room I record in is small and a dreadful shape: it's difficult to imagine a worse room, save for the toilet while it's flushing.

The sloping roof surface ensures that reflections are close and many - that was why I bought the acoustic tiles.

I stuck them to the walls with double-sided tape so as not to upset the landlord and they are still on the walls months later.

The taming of the reflections was obvious as soon as I played acoustic guitar - a dead sound that wasn't too pleasant for the acoustic but tidied things up very nicely when recording. Similarly, the nasty upper-mid ring was neutralised on vocal recordings - making voices sound natural rather than 'nasal'.

Putting two in the 'mirror position' on either side for mixing also made mixing decisions far easier - speeding up the process.

In short, and for small rooms in particular, I can recommend these as effective and good value for money.

Great to treat flutter echo
peter.m 22.08.2020
These look very nice and are of good quality. Much better than the cheaper options. I used them to treat some flutter echo in my studio after installing a dozen bass traps. I'm very satisfied with the results. But remember, you can't use these to treat a whole room as they are ineffective at low frequencies.

Nailed it!
Anonymous 28.04.2016
Combined these tiles with the blue ones - looks awesome! - and some standard acoustic foam mats in order to enhance the sound conditions in a walk-in wardrobe which I am using as a vocal booth now. Originally there was an extreme flutter echo in the very small room which disappeared right away after putting up just three foam mats and a pack of those.
I did not glue them to the plasterboard walls but attached them with two nails each so I can easily detach and reuse them somewhere else if I want to.
Before putting the tiles up though I had to spread them in my patio for about two weeks ...
Apart from the smell during the first days after unboxing I must say that my expectations were exceeded and I clearly recommend buying these nifty tiles.
