Ernie Ball 090 Single String Wound Set

Personally I am a big fun of coated strings, which this one isn't, however I use this gauge for the low F on my 8 strings guitar, and it serves the purpose amazingly well.
Great tone, string tension on a 26.5" scale is just great, and that was my main issue with the 74 and 80 gauges I had tried before.
Plus a 3x set, gives me plenty of spare which I love to have as constantly buying strings when you have 3 to 5 guitars can become an expensive joke.

So all in all A+++

You know very well for what do you need this gauge on your guitar.

The chugs are there and it delivers, but bare in mind the scale length of your guitar. As this will add a lot of tension to your guitar neck.
At some point and depending on your pick ups, chugs with distortion will not be very well defined, but the chug chug chug will be there and it can be felt.

I have this string tuned on an 27 inch 8 string to drop E (E-b-E-a-d-g-b-e) and it works ok.
In the limit of being a bass already hahaha
