Very well build pedal with a lot of tonal option.
If you are looking for something that can do it all, this is a very nice option especially for the price.

Both the eq and compressor work as expected and sound great. All though I do wish the compressor had an attack time control.

The overdrive isn't the best, it works if you want a little edge to your sound but if you want more than that it doesn't sound great.
However the overdrive does sound quite nice on a bass synth.

The option of sending the DI pre-fx is also a nice bonus.

When you are looking for a power supply do not forget this pedal needs 400ma which not every power supply offers.

The bright blue LED's are very cool, and you can turn them off when you're not on a dark stage.

Overall a very decent pedal that's definitely worth its price.

Bought this to use as a preamp/di to match with my rumble amp. Boy was I happy with the pairing! Using it along with my Harley benton jazz bass and the sound cuts through our bands mix. Love the mute switch as well as the really decent 3band EQ and pretty powerful compression, although the overdrive seems a little dry imo.

Nevertheless, it is a great pedal with a clean DI out - just be sure to get a matching power supply @400ma!

Je cherchais un pré ampli avec compresseur qui a une sortie DI
Le mute fonctionne.
L equalizer efficace.
Le compresseur fonctionne du tonnerre.
l overdrive, c'est une affaire de gout (je le mets vraiment au minimum pour retrouver le grain typique des année 90.)
Le + de cette belle boite (elle est vraiment jolie.) c'est le switch drive to compresseur ou compresseur to drive.
Dans l'un des cas, on obtient un drive très contenu et très agréable, dans l'autre un son bien overdrive avec harmonie a gogo !

Je suis satisfait de mon achat, j'ai réussi a avoir un son qui me convient pour notre style.

Ré edit: soit j ai de la poisse, soit je sais pas mais 2 pédales hs... merci à thomann pour la réactivité et l efficacité du SAV!

Ich habe den Downtown für unseren Bassisten in der Band angeschauft, um mehr durchsetzungsfähigkeit und Bums im Bassbereich zu erhalten. Das Klangerlebnis in der Band ist deshalb sehr zufriedenstellend. Ich habe in anderen Bewertungen auch negatives gelesen, was ich aber nicht bestätigen kann.
