Bought this after watching a video on YouTube in which a guitar lover wanted to darken the horrible pau ferro fretboards to a darker colour, to touch it up to a rosewood lookalike.
This will not work for darkening your fretboard, it is supposed to clean and revive older used fingerboards.
However, I put the smear ( it is a little thicker than lemonoil) on two Squier FSR’s as a test and they really look attended to right away.
It does not soak in like lemonoil. You have tot remove it with a cloth after some time. The fretboard comes out dryer after treatment than after applying lemonoil, so for playing purpose that is great.
By the way, do NOT through away your pau ferro necks now, pau ferro will darken whilst playing it for years and years to come and does not need much attending to, so is still a winner veneer. The ugly duck WILL become a swan, just play it!
