Fender Telecaster Pickguard CH

I write this some months after installing the pickguard, I thought it would be relevant to wait and see how it would wear on the guitar. I have to say I've been really surprised....the scratch marks are minimal and the guard still has a new-look. I've had a lot of comments on it, one person thought I had it custom made and fitted by a luthier!!
Fitting it was really easy ....just a phillips head screwdriver ,obviously I had to remove the strings and have replacements on-hand (Ernie Ball.....good price from Thomann) All of the screws fitted perfectly and in about 20 minutes I had a scratch plate which would stun the audience Phil Lynott style!!! A strange quirk of the tele was fixed after I fitted this (BONUS) When picking the strings I normally lie my hand on the scratch plate (the stock one was plastic) I could hear slight "crackling" through the amp when I did this......I put it down to me being very "electrostatic". After fitting this new one I never heard this sound again, so the moral is....buy a decent metallic one! I'm very pleased with this addition to my guitar, it also matches the chrome hardware perfectly.

Ich habe mir das Pickguard für ein Eigenbau-Projekt gekauft. Es spiegelt in höchster Qualität. Eben genau wie ein Spiegel. Alles passt perfekt und sah fertig richtig edel aus.

Es ist absolut gerade/plan, nur beim anziehen der Schrauben kann man ein leichtes verziehen um die Schrauben herum feststellen, aber das geschieht bei jedem anderen Pickguard auch; selbst wenn es doppelt so dick wäre.

Es ist sowieso schon ein fettes Teil, bei dem man sich glücklicher Weise die Abschirmung sparen kann... nur nicht die Masse vergessen. Ich habe es bisher nicht geschafft es mit Plektren zu verkratzen.

Von mir gibt?s die volle Punktzahl und eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.

Superbe pickguard Fender chrome , du plus bel effet .
Avec le capot cendrier sur le chevalet vintage ma Telecaster noir a fier allure , fini le look de pingouin de la plaque blanche .
Bon juste deux remarques négative : un peu cher et pas de nouvelles vis ( pas cool donc une étoile de moins ).
Belle finition ( attention pour les vis plate du micro , risque de rayure si le tournevis dérape ).
