I upgraded my Mexican made Fender Stratocaster with this loaded pickguard and now it looks and sounds way better.
However, I bought this because I wanted an upgrade someone fairly unskilled like me could manage. I understood from the information given here at Thomann and at Fender that this was an important selling point.
First, the pickguard did not exactly fit so I had to do some sanding with not quite perfect results.
Second, ignorant as I am I didn't know what to do with the extra ground cable (my guitar only had one and the pickguard offers two) and the information provided by Fender is worse than poor, is non-existent (there is only a schematic). And the video tutorial Fender offers turn out to be more of an advert than a way to address any doubts one might have. In the end I had to spend some time doing extra research I didn't want to do.
It might work out easy for most fender strats but it didn't for mine.
