I have a player telecaster and am slowly upgrading some parts. One of these parts is the rectangular string guide to a circular string guide.
A lot of people play a Tele so it's nice to add your own touch. This roadworn circular string guide certainly does make a visual difference to my Tele. Does it change the sound? I don't think so but it looks cool.
I simply unscrewed the old guide and screwed the roadworn in making sure that the grooves line up with the strings.
The roadworn screw is a little larger than the original players screw just in case you want to change back but I won't be as I'm happy with the new circular string guide.
