I have tried two of these guitars, and both of them had serious quality issues. Of course, at price this low, I am not complaining about any finish imperfections or unpolished frets. What I am talking about are things that impart (or may possibly impart) the guitar's usability. On the first example, the neck pocket was a couple of millimeters wider than the neck, which could possibly have lead to stability issues in the future. Also, the so-called “skunk stripe” was protruding from the back of the neck. On the second example, the bridge was mounted off-center, causing the low E string to be right at the edge of the fingerboard. Playing that guitar required lots of concentration because that string was prone to slipping off the neck. On both of the guitars, the finish on the necks seemed practically nonexistent, since they felt like rough bare wood to the touch. Buying a beginner something like this might discourage them from playing guitar altogether. This is only good for an experienced musician who knows how to fix all these issues and has the tools required to do so (a fret file, a power drill, etc.). The guitars sound nice and are light, but that is about all.
