I bought these as a direct replacement for the very well used machine heads on my '99 Fender mexico Jazz bass.
These fit perfectly and all screw holes line up exactly (unlike a generic set i previously bought in a local store but was thankfully able to return because none of the screw holes lined up and the bushing were too small).
I was very impressed that this set includes two full sets of bushings - the chrome rings that press-fit into the headstock to centre the tuning machines.
One set is approx. 17mm and the other is approx. 18.5mm.
I went with the larger size, which were about 0.5mm wider than the original bushings I removed, and these fit really securely and tightly into the headstock.
Fender obviously put a bit of thought into their aftermarket parts, even the 16 small screws included are very slightly wider than the stock ones I removed and these also fit very securely.
There are a few different types of Fender machine heads for bass but having spent a fair bit of time researching I would advise checking the shape of the plate on the back of the headstock and if it is an "elongated D-shape" with an arc on one side (as opposed to square/parallel edges) then these are the correct replacement and will fit perfectly.
These should fit Mexican standard, Player Series and Highway One series but do your research just to be sure.
The quality and operation are exactly like the originals and they hold tune really well.
Overall I'm extremely happy with this purchase and the excellent and prompt service from Thomann and hopefully this review might help someone else.
