Does its one job well. Just beware other strap button types.

Works perfect for Fender-style strap buttons - fits snugly and my strap stays put. I have no doubt that my straps will stay on the guitar with these rubbers.

If you want to use these for guitars from another manufacturer: make sure the strap buttons have some space left between the flanged top and the strap -- these boys are quite thick!

You know these, if you don't they are strap locks comprising a thick O-ring, I can confirm they lock the strap.
