I needed to upgrade (afte some 19 years...) a toploading tele-copy. The wide diameter of the original saddles created a too wide break angle, and their smooth nickel plated slots didn't help: too much string buzzes from the bridge itself. I eventually decided to try these threaded vintafìge saddles, and the problem was 100% solved. The sound has got THAT famous 60's tele bite: the attack, the twang are there. Fantastic. Eventually: they're not compensated, but I could manage to have them manually placed so to get a more than satisfactory, almost spot-on intonation. Go for them.
