the holes on the thumprest doesn't match with the holes on my fender classic 50's precision gold anodised pickguard... the pickguard has pre-drilled holes that the don't match 100%
i had to enlarge the existing hole on my pickguard for a proper intalation

Not a success

I was looking for the original solution to rest my thump on when playing finger style. Other than using the pickups. I've tried pickup covers but they were hampering my pick playing. After installation I found the thumbrest to high so I grinded it down on a belt grinder but even when the height seemed ok it still felt uncomfortable to me.
The thumbrest itself is ok, just not for me I guess.
