They loose their strength after a quite short time. But they come in a 12 pack.

Useful but not perfect

Bought the springs to tighten up a Fender tremolo, and even though it helped and the quality is good, it doesn't solve the "slack problem" entirely.

Helpful!

No question: the Fender Tremolo Bar Springs are one of the things that really makes sense, because if you use them on your tremolo bar of your Fender Strat guitar, you will no longer have any problems with a loose whammy bar! I just don't know why they have to be sold in a package of 12 (!) springs! As I don't own 12 Fender Strats (who does?! ;-)), I don't know what to do with the other 11 springs ... So, I would really recommend to Thomann that they should offer them separately or in a smaller amount at a reasonable price! Should be no problem, or what do you think ...?! Nevertheless: A good purchase!

BI
Does the job
Benjamin I. 28.02.2023
Some bridges are drilled inside and out, so be sure your bridge has metal at the bottom to stop the spring from falling out. Some of my guitars will need a screw at the bottom of the hole but that's not a big issue, zinc is a soft metal, it's easy to make a thread for a screw.

The spring does keep the trem bar in place, but it made a little scratchy noise so it needed a bit of sanding on each tip, and a drop of oil. The "spring" compresses and does not expand back into its original shape but that doesn't matter, it does its job.

Works!

I tried to use tape etc. These springs remove any wobbling from your tremolo bar. Springs don't have the same length and some are sort and unusable.

Fit perfect, a little pricey
Liam 31.05.2013
These tremolo bar springs fit the bride of my stratocaster perfectly. The only drawback I found was that they are a little pricey in my opinion. But if you want the comfort of knowing that they're made by Fender, for Fender, then buy them.

MS
Useful tool for improving tremolo arm comfort
Michele S 06.11.2017
These springs are very good for the ones who want to have a more comfortable tremolo arm usage.
They're solid, reliable and well made. I rate them 4 stars out of 5 because in some cases they can go too deep and the functionality is a bit reduced.
Overall, they're a must have in a stratocaster.
