A true vintage sound!

I replaced the stock pickup in a Mexican Standard Fender Precision bass with this pickup. It really is to an authentic vintage spec, build and sound. I'm using with flatwound strings and a foam mute and it gives that deep, thumpy sound with good midrange character too. Pleased with this purchase.

used this pickup as a pickup upgrade in a cheap squier p bass. put flatwound strings on it... with the tone rolled of, the pickup and strings did the trick and the sound was spot on vintage!!! in general a good, balanced pickup with sweet highs and warm low end!!! there may be better choices out there but this little fender pickup did the trick for me

Better than standard Fender P bass pickups

These are pretty nice sounding pickups. They are definitely a big improvement on the standard pickups you get installed on a Mexican made Fender Precision Bass. I think they also sound better than the factory installed pickups on USA made Precision basses too. Not bad for the money.
