I bought them in order to put them into Harley Benton TE20.
Please be aware that TE20 uses a different scheme for the stock pickups. Get ready to do some work in order to make that work for you.
These pickups include a Fender scheme, which helps a lot while swapping. It's not easy, but it is doable.
They include screws and rubber parts to change standard springs. Maybe later I'll put springs back, because I've heard that rubber is worse, but we will see. For now, I don't have any problems with that.
The only problem is screws which are included in this set. They are quite soft, so be careful, it's very easy to spoil the top.
The sound is amazing. The neck pickup is very warm and clear, sounds awesome. Love using it a lot. Maybe I'm in minority, but it's my go to pickup when playing on clean! Roll off the tone a bit, and u get closer to strat type of sound, but still with unique sound of a tele.
Together they rock! They give a very balanced sound and react to tone adjustments well. U can get so many sound combinations, so it's easy to get your cheap tele fit most music styles!
The bridge pickup is so twangy! Classic tele sound! Again, very easy to manage the sound by rolling the tone and volume knobs.
These pickups take overdrive well, so no problems there.
They give a bit of hum if you aren't touching strings, but it's what to be expected from single coils.
All in all, I'm glad I bought these pickups for my TE20 mod. They've changed the guitar big time, a pleasure to take my tele and play.
If you have a Squier, I think it will be easier to mod it with these pickups. I assume they have the same scheme. For those who want to put them into a Harley Benton, don't be afraid of this mod. It's not the easiest, but it's such a massive upgrade!
