The top of the top
There aren't enough superlatives to describe the Fishman experience. As their motto says, "everything you hear is true". And it definitely is. The power, the clarity, the definition, the dynamic range, the tonal spectrum, the response are all absolutely mind blowing.
Fishman are sort of the Apple of pickups. Even their packaging exudes premium feel. The kit came full with all accessories (except a selector switch) for any of the three alternative wiring diagrams in the printed manual (and many more online).
Personally I used the version with a 3-way blade selector, push-pull volume (voice 1: standard / voice 2: Tosin Abasi voicing) and push-pull tone (voice 3: coil split).
Note that through God knows what magic, even when they're coil split, the pickups keep their full humbucker output (about 15k), so if you only test with a multimeter, you might think your wiring or the push-pull cap is faulty, but plug it in and listen: pure, crytal clear single coil tone it is. With no volume loss. Totally amazing.

Best active pickup set
Got this over the modern set because they are easier to wire for single coil mode. Wiring was easier than expected since they come with pots, a stereo jack (output is still mono, the stereo pin closes the circuit so they don't use up the battery while unplugged), wires, and even heatshrink. The sound is amazing, on all three modes, much more natural than other active pickups, and there's little noise.
The only con i found was that they didn't fit in my LTD EC-257 at first, but that was solved by trimming the plastic around the screw holes.
Overall, I'd recommend fishmans to anyone looking for not just active pickups, but also very versatile ones.
