Fulltone Supa-Trem Jr Tremolo

I required a tremolo pedal for my pedalboard. The goal of this pedalboard was to keep it small, sturdy and simple, not too much tweakable, few knobs and no whistles. After a search for a tremolo pedal I ordered the Supa Trem jr. The only test I always do with a tremolo pedal is to be able to play “Tornado” from “The Jiants”, if it can do that; it’s a keeper.
Well, I received the Supa Trem jr. and was impressed by its weight and sturdy construction, awesome, until I tried to play with it. I was very disappointed, whatever I tried, I could not get that bias-tremolo sound thus not be able to achieve that “Tornado” sound. I decided to return it the next day. I was already looking for another tremolo pedal in the “forrest of pedals” (too many, FFS).
The next day I thought; “let’s play with the internal trimpot before I send it back” and I’m so glad I did!!!
The internal trimpot was (to my taste) set way too aggressive. When I rolled it back, a great bias-tremolo appeared and I could get that “Tornado” sound. This is now my "max depth setting" (sinus wave) and it really sounds great, I can still get a choppy sound by using the triangle wave form, it’s a keeper!

Learned about this brand from listening to a great guitarist that plays in a Late Night Band. One of the things that impressed me most about his sound was his vintage sounding tremolo - he's known to be somewhat of a purist - so i started to investigate the brand - Fulltone - and the specific pedal - the Supa-Trem! Well, i can tell you that i loved it so much that some time after buying and using this pedal i bought it's "Big Brother" - the Supa-Trem2v .2! These pedals are so good i'll keep them both.

Le tremolo est un effet que j'utilisais souvent sur mon vox ac15 pour ajouter de la profondeur au son.
Je voulais retrouver cette possibilité sur mon clone de super reverb qui ne dispose pas de cette effet, et le moins que l'on puisse dire c'est que je ne suis pas déçu.

Outre les possibilités supplémentaires de réglages qu'offrent cette pédale (3 modes de tremolo : les habituels square et sine, et le warble qui est totalement addictif une fois qu'on y a gouté),
elle sublime tellement le son que tout parait terne une fois qu'on la désactive.
Cela signifie que non seulement elle va rester sur mon pedalboard, mais aussi qu'elle sera probablement activée la plupart du temps, quitte à baisser le contrôle de "mix" quand le tremolo n'est pas désiré.
De cette manière, la pédale peut aussi être utilisée comme un clean boost, en augmentant le contrôle de volume : la réserve de gain est considérable, et comme si ce n'était pas suffisant ce clean boost est vraiment très bon, il ajoute un touche de "sparkle" totalement jouissive, tout en respectant le son de la guitare et de l'ampli.

Pour une première pédale Fulltone, bien plus que convaincu je suis conquis !
Si toutes les pédales de cette marque sont aussi parfaites, j'envisagerai toujours l'option Fulltone dans mes choix de pédales à l'avenir.

Vorweg, das Tremolo ist klasse. Super verarbeitet, klein, schick, kein Rauschen! Mir jedoch für (angeblich) Sine Wave zu hart. Es entspricht eher einer Triangle Welle, was für Opto-Tremolos recht üblich ist. Also nicht täuschen lassen, wenn von "Fender Amp Style Tremolo" die Rede ist, sind die späteren Modele mit Optokoppler und nicht die sanften Bias Tremolos gemeint. Schade auch – im Gegensatz zum alten Modell mit slow/fast– ist der Rate Regeler. Dieser umfasst soviel Geschwindigkeit, dass man auf 1/4 Drehung von sehr-sehr-sehr-langsam zu klassisch schnellem Tremolo gelangt. Daher sind Feineinstellung recht schwer. Für Leute die einen deutlichen Tremolo-Effekt (aber kein sanftes Pulsieren) suchen perfektes Pedal!
