Gator Foam Case Classic

I was looking for a hard case for my new Harley Benton Exotic Koa Parlor Guitar to keep it safe when it was stored away but I also wanted the convenience of a gig bag because I planned on travelling a lot with this guitar.

The Gator Foam Case Classic not only fitted my guitar perfectly it also ticked all the boxes for sturdiness, security and portability.

It's very well built and easily as strong as a standard hard case.

Pros:
Well Built
Solid Hard Case Style Interior
Internal storage for Picks, Straps, Spare Strings and Capos Etc
Additional external storage for music books and cables

Cons:
The only gripe I have is that the back straps are not very comfortable and could do with some extra padding for the shoulders. I will probably change them in the future.

I recently did a train trip up to Madrid and this case was absolutely perfect

I will definitely be looking at Gator Cases again when I need another one

I purchased this foam case for a hybrid acoustic-electric Flamenco guitar, to get it safely to and from gigs and rehearsals on buses and trams. A gig bag just did not seem safe when on a packed bus..where I live seems a lot of people will just as soon crush your guitar as you! I have a HSC when needed but that isn't as practical.

This foam case seems to work very well for me, convenience of a gig bag, but more protection with some of the rigidity of a hsc. Weight with my guitar and accessories inside is about the same as a well-padded gig bag.

I like the overall construction, very good quality interior and exterior. My guitar is a 650mm scale instrument, typical scale and fits perfectly. The interior and exterior compartments are fine for my needs..inside for a set of strings, string winder, feedback buster, and capo, and outside pocket for two leads with plenty of room for more stuff.

I do not like plastic clips for straps in general, maybe these on the Gator case won't allow for letting the case fall (?), but I have replaced the straps with ones from my hsc that have good quality metal clips.

But for the money this Gator foam case seems to be an excellent alternative to gigbags-hard shell cases.

Another excellent Gator case. I also have the Electric and Bass versions of the Foam case, which are rigid and well-balanced cases. The Classic is another quality product for the price. Great, rigid protection, with a plush interior, suitable for everyday use. I teach, and although this isn't one of my regular teaching instruments at the moment, i would trust the construction to bear up to everyday use. I get my instruments in and out of the car several times a day, and I rely on good zips, solid fabric, and decent handles. The classic has the added benefit of having a zip cover. These foam cases are nice and light, unobtrusive, and compact. I have had other foam cases that haven't withstood daily usage, despite being more rugged-looking, but these do the business, and if and when I need to replace them, it won't break the bank to do so.
