I got this flightcase to house a Hartke LH-500 bass head. Installation was fast and easy, the included screws being a nice extra. I found that there was even enough space at the back of the amp to fit in a kettle lead and speaker cable.
Since installing, I've taken the amp around the country to various gigs, and it's had a fair share of travelling and gigs - and the case doesn't have a mark on it. It's proved to be very hard wearing, and although I've never properly dropped it from height, it's taken a few bumps, but has always come out fine. It has also proven to be pretty water-resistant - after walking through some very heavy rain on the way to a gig, I was worried about my amp being wet - but it was completely fine.
The quality of the case is excellent - the hard plastic doesn't seem weak at all, the metal bindings are nice and solid. The clamps to close the case are brilliant, with no looseness or difficulty in use.
The one minor complaint I would have about the case is that the handles can be rather uncomfortable to carry for longer periods of time, although this isn't helped by my usage of a heavy amplifier, and my refusal to take taxis anywhere...
This is a fantastic flight case. I will certainly be using Gator cases again, this takes any worry of amp damage away.
