I?ve heard beforehand that these files were amateur-ish, but I wanted to try for myself - and it?s true. You?re basically blind-filing your frets without precision.
Get a traditional triangular, high quality fretfile and you?ll be much happier.

Wears out after 4 uses on basses
Bass YR 03.10.2022
Not the least durable, the teeth bent and stopped 'biting' frets after less than a handful of basses. Worked well at first, then became kind of useless.

P
FOR JUMBO FRETS ONLY
Paul592 04.06.2022
So I've attempted to use this on a few of my guitars, but always end up going back to a cheap mini flat file because this thing is apparently indented for XL Jumbo frets or something. It doesn't even take anything off half the time and I'm afraid it will scratch up the fretboard pressing it down hard. Not worth it if you don't have Jumbo frets.
