Gewa Mute Metal Violin

It hangs rather loose on the bridge, so there is always the fear of droping the mute on violin, or your feet.
But as a mute, it gets the job done. It will drastically reduce the volume of your violin. Unfortunately the resulting sound is rather metallic and you may dislike it.
Just be carefull that you dont forget what your violin actually sounds like while practicing with the mute!

Mute of good quality, takes down the volume of my e-violin, but not that much that it keeps people asleep. But at least it keeps the neighbors happy when practicing during the day.

I bought this to make my violin more silent. It works. Now it is possible to practice in my condo any time. In principal the metal silencer attaches at the top of thehe wooden bridge. Easy to use and easy to take off.

Heavy enough to be on the bridge. Personally, I prefer to use the Artino PM-01 which mutes better and produces a softer sound, however I highly recommend it as a second choice.
