Wittner Tuning Fork 443 Hz

Sound quality is pure and can be used as a tuning reference for interval-tuning timpani.

I found that the normal position (pressed against the skull behind the ear) for listening was too quiet and wholly insufficient prior to rehearsal in a noisy environment. I had to revert to the 'emergency' position (pressed on a tooth) to hear it clearly.

I have not checked the 443 Hz against a meter to ensure it's accurate.
