I got this hardward pack with a Gretsch Kit because of the flat base style that went well with the image going for. It's very sturdy and well built.
The only downside to the hardware pack is that the rod for the hi hats is very easily marked when setting the height for the top hat. I've used it twice, once for a rehearsal and once for a gig and it is already very dented where the clamp was tightened on the rod.
Such a shame and not what I expected from Gibratlar Hardware at all. A drummer friend has an old Pearl stand (15 years old or so) and that has barely a mark on it.
Thomann are willing to refund for the pack, but say they can't be responsible for the quality of the stand. I'm really quite disappointed. So if you don't mind a badly marked rod for the hats, then this is the hardward pack for you, if you do mind, then look at another option.
