I have not gigged it yet. But it is solid, the seat and backrest is comfortable (I got the Gibraltar backrest that fits) and it has performed well in the studio and rehearsals so far. My only real concern is that I am using it close to its' maximum height and that's what ruined the last two Roc n Socs I've had. I did quite a bit of research. My criteria were four feet and be able to be set at a minimum height of 26" (66cm). Over the 40 years I've been drumming I can immediately say it is the best seat I've had -but that isn't saying much in itself as I reckon someone needs to design a drum stool from the bottom up for professionals who spend hours, days and years sitting on them.
The only rivals to the Gibraltar model seem to be the top-end TAMA and the best Roc n Socs. It seems nobody anywhere in Europe or the UK stocks the top-end Roc n Soc and the Tama looks very similar to the Gibraltar but more expensive.
Finally I guess it is relevant to say that I am 1.88m, 86kg and a veryn heavy hitting drummer (I'm told!).

A good drum throne
Jonathan Feng 13.07.2021
I said it all in my title, it's a good drum throne.
very steady, easy to adjust, the cushion feels great. The only tiny thing I don't like about is some of the suture came out a little bit after a decent time of use.
but it's still a great throne I mean, it does its job.
