Does the job flawlessly. Like most memo's from all kinds of brands.
Rod clamps up to 12,7 mm can often be used in combination with non-hinged memo's, but sometimes you don't want to break down a set-up before doing so.
In the jungle of brands and aftermarket accessoiries, memo's with their specific lips will not always fit perfectly against the item you want to fix, but it's no problem, it doesn't have to.
Sometimes other memo's are out of stock, too hard to come by or just too expensive.
As long as you figure out your own system of placing them in a way to be able to build everything back exactly the same before dismantling.
That's a little harder with some configurations, like with cymbal boomstands with very specific angles that have to be able to fold back again.
Not possible anymore with a memo on it.
But if the boom memo is really necessary in a set-up, it's always possible to transport the boom and stand separate.
Which barely takes an extra effort.
These things are not exactly cheap, so it's a good thing this one also clamps 12 mm rods.
