This particular one has no defects of any kind. Great figured maple. Stunning colour. No "baby" picture! Does not smell, but I saw it is made 2020, so it is normal. At first neck seems strange, but only for 2-3 hours. Pickups are brighter than 490R/498T, which I like. And finally... great resonance.
