I use this truss rod key mainly for adjusting truss rods. However, being a bit of a loose canon, I have also used it to adjust other things including various screws and two-force members. While the description says that this is a key please be warned that the implement is less effective in this role. For example, when I lost the keys to a hire car recently it was the first thing I reached for. However, I found I had to hit it with a hammer to get it to fit into the door lock and also use a large pair of pliers in order to apply sufficient rotational force to satisfactorily engage the lock. A hammer and pliers are not provided with this product - you will need to order these from somewhere else. Moreover I would also suggest that you take out the full damage waiver at the point of hiring the car. While I cannot fault the product under normal use, my enthusiasm has been somewhat dampened because I have had to sell my guitar to meet the costs of returning the hire car to its original condition.

Perfect Fit
Brian9521 23.05.2017
I bought this to adjust the neck of my 2011 Gibson 60's Tribute SG. It works perfectly.
It is also really handy that the other end of the Key is a screwdriver so all you need to adjust the truss rod is this one tool.

Worthwhile Investment....

I've seen stripped Gibson truss rod nuts...particulary remember a '78 "The Paul" which had a neck like a Longbow...very lucky to get the nut off at all..you also risk damage to the wood around the nut etc..if you can afford a Gibson, you can surely afford this..otherwise bring it to a tech who will have one already...

Excellent Tool

Brilliant tool, does exactly what it ought without fuss. An all in one tool for adjusting a Gibson truss rod. Love the fact it has a philips driver attached for removing the cover and is angled to allow unhindered access to the truss rod.

Now I don't have to go looking for a wrench that fits.
Dan R. 11.02.2017
This is a very handy device for Gibson owners. If you've ever had to run around looking for a wrench that fit you beloved Gibson, you know what I mean. The phillips head end is also a nice touch. It lets you adjust your neck with just one tool.

Is what it is!

Having had my original truss rod key stolen, I had to replace it, so I odered one from Thomann. Good quality and almost exactly the same as my original one. The only difference being the angle of the wrench, ony original it was 90°, on this one it is slightly more obtuse.
