I bought the Glorious Sound Desk Pro for use in my home studio as I needed something that had a keyboard tray and some rackspace for my audio interface, patch bay and midi interfaces etc. This fits the bill perfectly.

The design is perfect for my needs and I now have lots more useable workspace with most of the things I need within arms reach.

The numerous cable ducts on the desk surface and cable tidy at the rear are well placed and means I can keep my cabling very tidy, but more importantly my desktop is uncluttered also.

It arrives flatpack but it's pretty easy to put together and seems very sturdy.

The keyboard tray can be set at 4 different heights which is a bonus depending on the size of the keyboard/mixer you are putting on it. My only gripe is on the 2 lowest settings means my legs touch the slide out tray, that said it's not a big issue at all.

All in all it's a fantastic desk and is well worth the money. The build quality seems very good but I can't comment on longevity as I've only had it a week. But I do recommend this especially if, like me, you were looking at the Output Platform and didn't want to spend as much.

MN
Great design & very practical
Mr. Nelson 13.02.2020
I needed a good studio desk that both looked good and was functional. At this price point, this was a no brainer. It is the perfect size, allows me to easily access lots of my outboard gear, is pleasing to the look and is the perfect center piece for my studio.

It was not difficult to build ; the instructions are clear, and there were no issues at all when putting it together.

The wood finish is excellent, the draw table is steady enough, the height is correct and the work space is more than sufficient for a home studio.

My speakers can sit and be angled correctly. I have been able to hide all the cables thanks to the dedicated space behind it, which makes for a very clean finish.

I am glad I made the decision to get this desk. You will not be disappointed. I see no reason why it will ever leave the studio!

Ó
Great value if the holes were drilled correctly
Óran 20.05.2022
I started to put the desk together and the instruction manual was fine. I followed it exactly and quadruple checked everything but the steel bar that runs underneath the user-side of the desktop didn't fit into the cutouts in the legs. Whether the bar was in the wrong place or the cutouts were I'm not sure. Anyway, the separate pieces themselves are very sturdy and the desk is lovely when put together, but I had to modify it. Adding my own cutouts for the steel bar and also some of the fixings didn't line up with the pre drilled holes from the factory, so I had to leave out 4 fixings from the desktop and ended up driving my own screws to hold the rack-side and the user-side of the desk down, luckily I managed to do that without any screws showing and I had the tools and knowhow. Be wary of the desk, if the few holes weren't misaligned I'd be giving it full stars. I decided not to try return it as it would have been a pain and I am happy with how it functions and looks, just a shame I had to fix what they had done wrong!

Great construction quality, more fun to build than a Lego set!

A decent desk that fits an 88 key keyboard/MIDI controller is rare for under £400. Great build quality and value. Great service by Thomann too!

JM
Astonished with the utility! Great value!
Juan Merello, songwriter, Berling Berlin frontman 27.03.2023
I bought this working desk because I was unable to fit my M-Audio Keystation 88 Midi controller in my apartment due to lack of room, so having a sliding board beneath the desk was the ONLY solution I could figure out. The only negative aspect is that the aforementioned sliding board can only sustain so much weight (up to 12Kg), so I think it's sadly unfit for heavier keyboards, specially those that have hammer-action keys. All in all, it still is a great piece of furniture you can do all your music related stuff; it really is a physical workstation that you can attach your gear directly to the dedicated places or place it above its surfaces. The latter are surprisingly sturdy and tough, and can sustain a lot of damage due to friction and eventual accidental impacts by your tools or sound gear. And if you're used to builing Ikea furnitures, the difficulty of assembling this one is no different than those of the said famous Swedish brand. No regrets, it's a good investment. Go for it!

Heads up to the wunderbar Thomann Mannschaft! Dankeschön!

A
Best studio desk on a budget
Anonymous 11.04.2023
Glorious' studio desk has all the features you could ask for. I bought this desk for my home studio since I needed something that had a keyboard tray (one that fits an 88-key keyboard). The rack space is just great. I can perfectly fit my audio interface, midi controllers, patch bay, etc.

The size is also enough to accommodate all that and still have a clean look, with plenty of open space.

Oh, and it looks pretty damn good as well.

The only downside I saw was that when assembling it, some parts are glued to each other and that isn't really straightforward to do if you are assembling it on your own but if you have someone to give you a hand, you should be good to go.

I have had this product for roughly a year now, and it still seems as if I got it yesterday. Very sturdy and durable indeed.

ES
My worst thomann experience
Exxe Studios 25.07.2022
I was really hyped before purchasing this desk, but it all changed really quick. The first desk didn't assemble well, the top didn't match the legs and it was impossible to assemble. After contacting the Thomann custommer support, I had a new top delivered to my place. This time the top fitted the legs of the desk, however it didn't fit hte central bar (and I wasn't able to change it without damaging the integrity of the lower part, as the instructions tell you to also glue the parts together. So I thought, the 3rd time's the charm. Little did I know that the 3rd desk arrived with some dents and scratches. After all the hassle I had to go through, and as most of them were in the lower, non visible parts of the pieces, I ended up assembling it as it came, but I'm more than unhappy with this purchase. Steer clear from this product if you want to avoid hassles.

DN
Great Value
Dr Nic 16.08.2020
Easy to assemble and the result is a very sturdy, good looking desk for the price.
Minor niggles - the rack mounts are fiddly - the captured bolts being very frustrating to manipulate when in situ and trying to mount your rack gear!
The height of the lower slide out keyboard shelf is adjustable but there is a metal bar on the undersurface of the top desk that effectively reduces each lower shelf space by about 2cm. This means a much lower setting to get a keyboard to fit, and then the shelf seems like it is on your lap and the upper desk a million miles away!
If you are just using the upper desk for computer keyboard/mouse etc then not so much of a problem. The weight limit on the lower shelf is also quite restrictive.

Nothing that should put you off I would hasten to add, but ensure you know what you intend to use it for so you don't get disappointed.
I still think it is a fantastic studio desk.

A classy desk
oddn0ise 19.06.2022
Well built and well packaged. Beware that your monitor will be high up if you place it on the top ledge and careful of leg room under the sliding keyboard shelf, but once over those hurdles it's a really nice, sturdy desk. Easy to assemble, looks slick and a keen price.

You'll not be disappointed!
Twerton Parker 05.09.2020
Covid-19 production problems meant that I had to wait for the best part of three months before my desk was delivered but boy, it was worth the wait and I'm glad I didn't opt for something else with a shorter lead time. There are certainly cheaper products out there but the quality of this desk speaks for itself and I think it represents money well spent.

If you've assembled flat pack furniture before you'll have no trouble putting the desk together and, it has to be said, the quality and fit of the materials is the best flat pack furniture I've ever come across.

I'm delighted with it and will happily recommend it to anyone else thinking of buying one.
