That's the stuff

You have scratchy frets? No time or money to go to a luthier? You don't want to remove your strings, even? Don't look further, this is the stuff! polished the scratchiest frets ever on a brand new squier, got it playing good, and had some extra for another guitar who really needed it... Removing a star because they get used up pretty fast, but you can prolly scrape the surface off and reuse them! Just so you know, These are pretty small, and exactly like the rubbers you bought when you were a kid (form and texture) except rougher

I service guitars and very regular basis and my favourite thing to do on any guitar is cleaning up the frets.

Now if any of you people who are reading this that know the whole process of taping up a neck is a pain but it is a necsasary evil to keep the guitars finger board safe from all the fine dust particles that come from sandpaper and i still do use the taping process for big fret jobs but if a guitar only needs a quick polish these rubbers are fantastic.

They dont create alot of fine dust is usually clumps up like a normal pencil rubber does so taping of the neck is not needed to use this product and gives your frets and adequete polish until you have time to polish them more.

They seem to be lasting a good while but the frets do create grooves in the rubber easily which you have to look out for as you do not want to start touching the fret board with this rubber as it will leave marks and you will have to clean the fret board again so please keep it in mind to watch out for it as it happened to me.

I like the product and it is good to have in your aresenal of guitar care products.

Pros
quality rubber
good polish
no fine dusk particals
quick fret polishing

Cons
doesnt give you best polish of the frets you can get
leaves marks on fretboard if not carefull
very small can easily get lost

Easy on the hands
Anonymous 21.04.2015
As the title says - easier on the hands to use compared to sanding paper. Would be good to sell as a set with say 1000 grit and 2000 grit to get a better polish.

Smaller than I expected
Anonymous 14.12.2015
The pictures of this came with no frame of reference, so I assumed they'd be larger than they were.
Despite this, I didn't have any problem using them, they worked just fine.
Good buy, good quality.

Good fret polishing/finishing solution
Jernej V. 06.02.2021
I used the goldo polishing rubber after a fret leveling on my own guitar. They work. You have to know two things. One, it takes some tome getting used to working with the rubber. And two, it take some elboe grease to really make those frets shine. It does not happen in an instant.

CON: It takes some work before the results are apparent.
PRO: It does work and even an idiot like me can do it.

Easy way to give your frets a nice shine!
Mr Blue Sky 13.10.2019
I love my fret rubber - it's a really easy way to polish the frets with limited risk of damaging the fretboard and no need for any polish. Like any rubber it leaves some little bits however these are easily brushed off. Plus it is pretty durable - mine will last me a long time!

So far so good!
Adam R. 12.10.2014
Easy little polishing rubber great for smoothing off individual frets after they've been filed. It comes in a 2 pack which is handy, and seems soft enough that it won't damage your fretboard if you slip up. Worth a try, good alternative to steel wool.
