A lot of guitars come with plastic nuts and have tuning issues. Graphite nuts are a great upgrade - guitars stay in tune nicer and get less breakages from being pinched. Highly recommended.
You have to sand/file the GraphTech nut to the correct height - you should do this carefully and gradually rather than rush, and check progress intermittently. If you make the nut too low you can add a shim to it, but it's better to take care and be patient.

Gets the job done

No issues with lubrication with this nut opposed to plastic ones. Can't really speak about the longevity of it since I haven't used it heavily but so far so good.

D string issues
Edgar Blackdagger 13.07.2022
I've bought several Graph Tech nuts for various guitars and they do help with tuning and they are easy to work with, but maybe too easy.
I've noticed to all my guitars that the D string slowly started to make its way into the nut, slowly but steadily, making the open D string buzz.
Great idea of self-lubrication and all, but the material isn't dense enough and the strings slowly cut through it.

Very good product but be advised that this nuts are 16" radius and doesn't quite match the 12" of a Gibson fretboard...

1mm too thin for my Epiphone Les Paul
StanAron 28.11.2020
Was looking for a replacement for the plastic nut on my Epiphone Les Paul. I installed this one, which has made a world of difference. However, the size wasn't perfect, it's about 1mm thinner than the previous nut, so I had to add a bit of wood to have it snuggly fit in.

Probably the best replacement nut
Anonymous 27.02.2017
These nuts are self-lubricating and pre-slotted. Work like a charm with Gibson guitars.
Due to the self-lubricating nature of the nut, tuning stability can be improved and the nut itself seems extremely durable. As stated in my heading, I believe these are probably the best replacement nuts you can get for a guitar.
