In my opinion, this case is a shame to Gretsch's name. I can't believe how badly made it is. I mean, if it were a 40?/50? case, I'd be ok with it, but it costs 102?!!!
I've had an Epiphone Les Paul with a great Epiphone case which costs much less. I expected a totally different quality level with this one from Gretsch, given its price point. It doesn't have a built in lock (I knew that before buying, but, still... Come on!). It has a place to put a padlock, but it feels like anyone can break it. The golden hardware feels really cheap. When you close the case, it feels like it's going to pop open at any second. And if you put the case on the ground "standing up" it won't stay up. It tips forward and falls. The metal feet are not even.
The case is solid and it protects the guitar. The guitar fits great and everything. But at this price point, it's a shame that it has all these flaws. And the worst thing is that, if you buy a Gretsch, you're obligated to buy this, because no one else makes cases for Gretsch, apparently. And this is why I gave it only one star. It was a total disappointment.
