I was looking for something to mute unwanted string noise when recording solos etc, and these had caught my eyes when other guitarists were using them in youtube videos etc. I thought I'd get one for each of my guitars making it slightly better value. They do exactly what they should do, are very easy to use (or stop using!) and they look aesthetically acceptable. Recommended if you need some help muting string noise when recording!

A great product

It's been a couple of weeks since I bought these string dampener (Gruvgear fretwraps) and I'm really happy with them. It's pretty easy to install one of them, takes no time , no harming no drilling to the guitar and you can adjust them easily. It really works and helps you to eliminate string noise especially for recording sessions, but some players like me would rather to use them all the time since they could help to have a enjoyable jam and practice. I use large size for seven and six strings.
Also, some say they are completely waste of money and pointless, but for some tapping technique and guitar licks especially in seven and eight string and they are really useful and work very well because it's very hard to dampen naturally at the same time when you're playing that particular licks and tapping technique so you have to use one these fretwraps if you want to play more clean.

Does it's job
Nikos T. 15.02.2017
Well there's not much to say about fretwraps, price is better than picking up just one.
Kept one for my self and gave the other two to friends as presents.
They do their job, they re nice in the eye and haven't had any problems with them.
I have one almost all the time on my guitar, and I carry my guitar around a lot. The fretwrap still remains undamaged.

Great tool for session players
Anonymous 24.05.2016
The Fretwrap dampens unwanted harmonics, squeals and plink string noises after the nut. Used behind the guitar nut, allows to have a cleaner sound that comes handy while recording guitar parts and solos. Alternatively, it can be placed anywhere on the fretboard to use it as a full strings dampener for insane two handed tapping licks.
Quality is top notch, the strap holds its velcro power for a very long time. Wears is not a problem. Recommended to anyone who wants to record.

Reliable and elegant.

Works just fine with my sevenstring. Good choice, if you don't want to wrap anything unaesthetic around guitar neck or stuff something under strings at the headstock. Pity you can't choose colors, I'd prefer 3 black ones, but that's not a big deal though.

There is not much to be said about this product other than
it does what it's supposed to do and it does it well.
Works well with both my six and seven stringers as well as my 5 string bass.
A good buy!
