Apart from being a diehard fan of John Petrucci I've baught this book because I know its author very well; I'm speaking about Troy Stetina who's one of the great guitar teachers and instructors in the US. Troy has written some of the most famous books series on Metal guitar. This book is no exception as it explains in great details the style of John Petrucci. The tablature is accurate and faithfully represents the notes played in every song. It's important to know this is not a tablature book only, but it's a an entry step and a guide toward the style of one of the greatest Progressive Metal bands of all time. The quality of the cover and the pages is good. The only drawback for me is the fact that it doesn't come with full backingtracks for the songs to play and practice over. I don't know why Hal Leonard didn't include them in the package. The songs are taught in parts and there are slow recordings for the fast solos to practice. The audio tracks are produced in a professional way but again!...no minus-one backingtracks. Overall I'm satisfied with the product and I highly recommend it.
