Broke after 3 months of home use
MC MC 01.05.2020
Pros:
This is a very compact, easy to use unit. It's not feature heavy, but wireless units with numerous bells and whistles tend to cost several times this price.

I had no problems with the buffer that's built into the system altering my tone in a noticeable way.

The range is decent, and more than what most people will need. If you need more, you're playing big enough venues that you should already have a higher-end unit.

Cons:
It definitely cuts in and out during play. It tends to be brief, but it happens enough that I wouldn't want to gig with it.

The real dealbreaker for me, though, was that it stopped working after 3 months. I never left home with it, because I wouldn't play live with something that cuts in and out like this unit does. I live alone, so I know nothing happened to it. I used it one day, then put it away, and when I went back the next day to use it again, I couldn't get a signal. It's fully charged, lights flashing, transmitter / receiver are paired, but – no sound.

I've contacted Thomann; hopefully they can help.

Freedom!!!
Panos! 27.05.2021
Its amazing the sense of freedom with these! I'm new in the world of wireless guitar systems, and I feel truly liberated from the strains of cables! 'Til now I only use them at home, no rehearsals and of course no Live use because of Covid-19. But I will surely try them as soon as possible! Sometimes the sound has fluctuations, like hiccups (or tiny interruptions), specially when the home wifi is on, but changing a channel or two and the problem always disappears. The tone for me is great, and when I plug straight in the amp or on my pedalboard and play, I find it magnificent. But for a tone "purist" it may be a problem, cause when I A/B them with a quality cable, then I can very slightly hear but more importantly I can feel a small degredation of my tone. Is it enough to put me off? Not in a million years! Would I use them to record an important piece? No, never! Will I use them on my next rehearsals and - hopefully soon - try them also on a Live situation with my band? Definitely yes!

LF
Good for price, but with some Signal Strength issues?
Luis Franco 30.04.2023
Everything seemed fine, at the beginning, I tried it home and it was working well, I was impressed; sound was alright, cool investment perhaps. I took it to a small gig, which I thought was a good test for live situations, it worked well in the first one but then after a second session close to the end, the battery ran out, I plug back a cable to continue and that's when I noticed - the signal wasn't strong enough while playing - since I played most of the gig I didn't notice until I plugged back a cable or perhaps as the battery slowly run out, it was losing strength, but all of a sudden I could hear myself better... I thought: well that's a 1 for cables - 0 for the wireless!

My conclusion so far, like many others, I think it's good for playing at home, in a studio, rehearsals or perhaps some small gig that doesn't required such a big performance , casual gigs, but it is risky to take it to more serious live gigs, since there's the possibility it will stop working while playing without a warning.

Great for a home studio environment
tomtomssi 04.06.2019
I use this at my home studio between my guitars and amp heads.

The range is nice and it works even through walls. I usually play in a pretty small room next to a lot of gear and electronics but I have not noticed any interference.

The sound quality is clear and I have not noticed any difference compared to a regular cable.

The build quality is okay. This is not flimsy but its still plastic so I would not want to drop these on a hard surface. After a few months I started to hear some rattling inside like something had come loose but these still work.

The on/off switch could use a re-design. Its too similar to the channel switch and quite often I accidentally use the wrong switch.

The transmitter runs out of battery a lot faster than the receiver. The description tells you this has up to 6 hours of battery life but I don't feel like the transmitter can last for 6 hours of constant play.

Overall, this thing is great. It has given me a lot of mobility inside a rather small studio where cords can get tangled quite easily.

Surprisingly good
Vuk77 28.02.2024
I own an analog wireless and also owned another chinese compact digital wireless like this one. The Airborne is better than both. First of all, far better tone than analog. Very little compression and retains highs very well. Dynamics are good, so is the sound level. There is absolutely no latency or it is not audible. Battery life is good, the transmitter lasts about 4 hours and reciever 5-6 hours. I only wish it had an inbuilt alarm when it reaches 15%, but you can't have everything.

Like I said tonewise it stays very true to the real tone when at full volume, however cable is still king. Where this thing lacks is sensitivity to volume and tone changes. I use volume and tone knobs all the time to fine tune my sound. This is nowhere near as sensitive as the cables and this really is my only complaint. Very good value for the money, can't really comment on built quality after a month of use

Works Exceptionally well, Very small and Tidy
Leader Sound Productions 03.01.2022
I wasn't expecting this to work as well as it does, its a very pure sounding connection, very very little quality loss - if jack to jack was 100% the signal you get from this would be around the 95% mark in my opinion. Its very well made, compact (smaller than it looks in pictures).

I have used this unit as a jack connection to my amp with absolutely no problems, while practicing, rehearsing with a band in a couple different environments and experienced no issues. I have also used this in conjunction with a portable headphone preamp to feed my in ear monitors, and that worked like a charm too. Very very good product for the money. They also clip together neatly too - a feature which isnt advertised.

As good as more expensive alternatives
i384 23.01.2024
I usually use line6 g10 gear - in terms of sound, I can't tell any difference between this and the line6 alternative. If I had to nitpick, the 4 channels may be limiting if there's a number of people using these adapters in the same space, and they're not as well built as the line6 stuff - but for the price, who can complain!

Essential Kit
Philfishgill 24.07.2024
Wanted a wireless system for my guitar, as it gets cumbersome dealing with all the wires that tether you to the amp.
I've had Line6's system that was returned for repair twice under warranty and replaced both times, so I wasn't willing to pay lots of cash.
I saw this and thought I'll give it a go, it performs with issue and have had a very positive experience.
I'd recommend this system to anyone it's cheaper than most and performs as it should.

Very Impressive
VKtsc 06.03.2022
We have an old stage with lots of cables over the top, we needed a solution to cut back on some of the mess, so we looked at this quick and cheap solution, we saw other people had success with this for practice and personal studio's, however we took it a step further and attempted to use this in a live scenario with an audience, so far we saw no issues with it and the signal is practically the same as with cable, however this isn't recommended, and may be different in your case.

Awesome budget wireless system
Wyz_13 20.09.2023
I read that it sucks tone, that wifi signal can make weird noises... None of that in my case. I don't appreciate any difference with a normal cable and I usually practice in a room under a wifi router and never had a problem. the transmitter runs out of battery faster than the reciever but when charged you can play for 3 hours or more. I absolutly recommend this product.
