Harley Benton CST-24T P90 Black Flame

First things first: I receive my product almost 1.5 months later. Maybe it was because of the pandemic, I don't know...

Guitar finish quality: It is not a top-notch finish. It has grayish tiger stripes on the top, but not even AA quality in there. Yellow stripes (binding) around the body are not even and there are some blemishes here and there... It can't be seen from a distance but from the player's point of view, they sure look ugly.

Pick-ups quality: okay, there is nothing wrong with it! I am very pleased with them. Very bright, punchy, warm sound; right in between a Gibson and a Fender sound.

Neck quality: the fretboard surely could've been better. The binding that surrounding the neck has some hollow points in between, and there are some minor cracks on the neck wood. It can be fixed by some gluing and applying some oil. The nut is a very, very ugly, cheap-looking plastic so it must be changed!

TL;DR: so overall, I don't have any regrets but surely I won't consider buying this guitar if I've known better...

Beautifully made guitar. Had a cosmetic flaw that Thomann took care of with a credit on the price which I appreciated very much. Guitar came almost completely in tune. Set up was wonderful .No sharp fret ends. Tuners seem very solid and work well. Action was perfect and the intonation was almost spot on. Pickups sound wonderful with plenty of punch. Finish was better than my previous CST 24. Best sounding pickups I've played.May get the ocean blue one down the road. Well worth the price and Thomann staff was very easy to work with. Packing box came in much better condition than my last. Cardboard of outer box seemed heavier. Came in 9 days to USA. Overall very happy. Thanks

Had this a couple of days now, and first impressions are that this is a very good guitar. No fret sprout, or high frets and it has been set up very well. The P90's sound great and the electronics cavities are all shielded, which is nice to see. However, the finish on the guitar is not as shown on the web site. The translucent effect on the back of the neck is non existent, mine is pretty much solid black. The flame veneer on the front seems very dark; I think the guy in charge of spray painting went a little over board with the black. But it still looks nice. The only real gripe I have is, this guitar was sold to me as brand new. Now, the one that I received has clear signs of previous use. The gloss finish on the back of the neck at the lower fret end seems very dull, compared to the very well done high gloss on the rest of the guitar. This has made me think that this guitar could possibly a return, and therefore should have been labelled as B stock. If this is the case. it may well have been a genuine mistake on Thomann's part. I have sent photos to Thomann and await their reply. Apart from that this guitar looks and sound superb, as are all the other 8 HB guitars I have bought. So, I would highly recommend this guitar. Just don't expect the colour to match what's shown on the web site, there seems to be quite stark variations, if mine is anything to go by.

Update: Contacted Thomann about the problem with the guitar and they have agreed to give me a discount, as returning it would be problematic. So thank you Thomann, excellent customer service once again.
