The longer edge is not even, it is as if the cut it from another piece of metal on that side and the did the cut wrong, so it jumps a uneven, if that makes sense. still if you take care measuring inside the area before the cut, you can get away with it. Bad quality, look for something else.

WASTE OF MONEY
JadeS 20.03.2023
They say this tool is precise but, after trying to fret level my guitar i realised some sides are not straight at all. Normally i don't bother leaving reviews but i made an exception to tell people to take heed of this warning. If you want to do this type of work don't reley on Harley Benton's cheap versions, instead buy from a reputal manufacturer that actually can produce what they claim.

Simple tool, how can it be possibly crap
Joa B 22.03.2021
The idea of this tool is that it's straight and it's not.
You could easily fix it if you have access to a beltsander,
but not everyone has. And you shouldn't have to fix a product you pay for.
In my opinion it's crap. I would happily pay a bit more for a descent tool.

edges are no good

You need to file and grind the 4 edges because they are only rough cut
