Great value, good sound, very minor niggles - overall a good buy

Good re-purposing of Thomann's PA cab as an FRFR guitar cab. Well built and nice design. Not too heavy and plenty of handles, plus multi position usage (wedge monitor, pole, upright). Padded cover (extra cost) good too.
I do think though that manufacturers shouldn't use Peak power to advertise their amps / powered cabs. Its not just Thomann / HB, they all seem to do it now. I would prefer to see this advertised as 300W RMS and not 1200W (peak power). RMS was always the industry standard, and 300W RMS is plenty for a guitar cab / monitor anyway.
My only slight negatives about the product are - the master vol rotary is apparently mounted direct to the main board so if it got a knock it could damage more than just the vol control. However it is slightly recessed, so only time (on the road) will tell. The other point is that the cab has quite a high level of hiss, even at the lowest possible volume levels and with nothing plugged into it. This hiss cannot be removed by using the onboard EQ high end.
Overall - not the best on the market, but definitely the best value for semi pro usage.

Very decent for the price

I bought this to use live with my Helix, so I haven't really used the built in DSP settings. The flat response is good and it puts out plenty of volume to compete with our drummer (who is damn loud!) so all was going well. But then I tried the Powercab with the Helix, and the improvement in sound and feel was pretty huge. However I also use a couple of synth pedals and this is perfect for those and as a general backup for venues without enough power to run everything through the PA, so it stays.

The general construction feels solid and it's well equipped with ins/outs. We used it during a live video session when a noisy DI output on another speaker was causing problems and the output on this saved the day. The settings have you covered for a variety of scenarios so it's a very capable all rounder.

I ordered this to try to use in my home studio / rehearsal room to amplify an electronic drum kit, and whatever other instruments could be jamming at the same time (vocals, guitar via modeller, even bass...).

However, it wasn't for me - I found the sound a bit artificial, compressed, and lacking some presence or character... and is seemed not to fill the room... as if it were very directed / concentrated (which might be a benefit for some applications; but not for me).

Pros:
Not so heavy (weight) / Powerful (loud) / tweakable (IRs/ eq), volume controls are notched

Cons:
Sounded compressed and uni-directional. Controls on the rear (again, might be an advantage for some users.)

In the end, I decided to return it, as I preferred the tried and trusted MA120 for my particular application...
