Design is flawed...but the material is good

They give off a nice clicky sound when you shake them. They seem durable and don't look half bad either.
The impact on the sound was immediate after I put a new set of strings, the guitar sounded phenomenal!
Now on to the Cons of this product, which are not few in number.
Beware that these pins are relatively straight and thick, measuring about 4 milimeters at the ends (0.15") so they won't fit into tight slots.(I tried to put them on a parlor guitar, and didn't fit the holes)
The groove of the pins didn't allow the ball end of the strings to slide in! One of the pins almost popped out while I was tuning the guitar. They act as if they are unslotted pins.
In the end I had to widen the canal towards the tip of the pinhead to leave a bit more space for the string to cross over the saddle.
This was my personal experience, maybe other were luckier, but other than some annoying design flaws, the pins greatly improve the sound. So that is that.

Unexpected great improvement

Perfect completion of bone bridge and saddle which already was a great upgrade for my Ibanez AW54. Very happy for deciding to change also the plastic pins with these ones. Really increased clarity and sustain. I'm amazed of the impact it makes. Totally worth it!

Massive difference

I was amazed in how a small change can make such a difference ,sound has become brighter and sustain has increased .I love these bridge pins .

Harley Benton Bone Bridgepin Set

I used these to renovate an old guitar, it had plastic bridge pins and a plastic end pin. I heard that bone may improve the overall tone of the guitar but I had no idea just how good of an effect they would have! This set made such an incredible difference to my tone, I had to file down all of the pins but when I got them to fit and put a new set of strings.. I was blown away. They are absolutely worth the relatively cheap investment.

Just received delivery of these pins and checked the dimensions. These bridgepins measure 5.3mm at widest slotted point below head, not 5.2mm as indicated ( so will need to precision sand them down to fit, which takes time with this material ) … besides that to be aware of, they seem to be of good quality for the price and, of course, usual good service and delivery from Thomann

This bone Bridgepins are not a quality product because two of them has broken and chipped when tuning a guitar. I doubt it is bone.
