Harley Benton Parts Jack Plate Black ST

I bought this to replace my old jack plate, for cosmetic reasons. I wanted a jack plate that was close to matt black, and this is! It has a slight shine to it, but it's not gloss. I would say a lot closer to matt.

Other than the cosmetic side, there's not much more to say. It works just as well as the original part, and came with 2 black screws.

Would buy it again!

This thing does not live up to the HB name at all. Normally I am really happy with the price to quality of their items but this one is VERY roughly finished, full of manufacturing defects such as extra metal around the edges and the black coating is uneven and blotchy.. I think the batch I got needs to definitely get some quality control...

This piece does what it's suppose to do.
Measures were good and installation not a problem.
The color is satin black, so not shining.

If you're looking for a solid glossy black finish like other black hardware you're familiar with, this is NOT the product for you.
The one I got (and seems like other reviewers as well) is completely matte, very roughly finished, not uniform in color at all, looks very worn and "used".

Personally I think it looks very cool and it matched my guitar great, so I got lucky.
So it can serve a purpose, just probably not what you expect, beware!

The Harley Benton Parts Jack Plate Black ST is a really good choice if you want a cheap and black jack plate. I like the looks, and it fit really well.

It seems that the paint is some kind of flat, thin coating which very easily shows scratches..even light scratches..bot other than that..functionally works well..the hole for the jack seems to sit in the right position for routing and insertion of jack including electronics.

won't fit most guitars

I used it in a rebuild. When i opened the package it felt it like it was freshly painted and it haden"t dried compleatly yet. Otherwise it was a good fit!

Used this on a squier stratocaster. Easy swap.

I've bought other jack sockets where the hole isn't big enough for the jack plug to go into (totally useless). Not these though! Everything about them is as good as it gets and they're really cheap. Excellent!
