I wanted to try out some picks of different materials than normal plastic. In particular wood seems interesting for the added grip and for the sound. So I tried these picks because of the price point.
So, the picks have a very good grip, the molded fits for index and thumb are very comfortable. I also like the fat and warm sound they produce compared to plastic or metal picks.
The drawback is that is not wood, it's ebonol, which is basically layers of paper pressed to resemble wood (or at least this is what seems to be). It does not affect the durability of the pick, at least not in the short term, but it annoyingly leaves black smudges on your fingers.
Overall, they are ok for a first try with wooden picks, but I will probably try something not made of ebonol next time.
