Takes a decent size cable if you discard the rubber boot and replace it with thin heatshrink, which also probably provides better strain relief. I am using a bunch of these with 6.15 mm diameter cable.
You do need a fine soldering iron tip and ideally a decent wattage iron so the connector is only heated for a couple of seconds.

Good jack, noiseless
Anonymous 26.09.2016
I bought the HICON HI-J35T02 Jack and I'm using it for my headphones in my home studio. I used a lot of 3,5 mm jacks but this one's the best in therms of sound. It's easy to attach to the cable and it doesn't have any noise. This Jack is awesome for the gold-plated connector which a perfect, noiseless sound. I didn't had any problems, it works great!
I recomand it to all the musicians looking for a perfect, noiseless and fine sound!

Great jack but hard to solder
Anonymous 25.11.2016
I bought this jack to build a detachable cable for a DIY headset mod with a Superlux HD330.
The jack works great and has a tight fight.
There is only one bad thing about it. Soldering the 4 pin 3,5mm jacks is hard, but its not the problem of this exact product.
Pro: Great build quality and tight fit in the socket
Con: Hard to solder, but you will have this problem with all the 4 Pin 3.5mm Jacks
