Höfner Icon Violin Guitar BK

I bought a "Höfner Ignition Violin Guitar BK" on impulse, due to it's good looks. I play it recreationally rather than professionally. I play the guitar through a Blackstar ID Core 40 amplifier, it sounds like nightingale on the clean warm or clean bright settings with a bit of reverb but it can bark like a mad dog on other settings, it doesn't sound too bad when played unplugged. The guitar is well made and finished, very light and visually stunning. For me, the only draw back is that there is only a choice of two finishes in Höfner Ignition Violin Guitar range, black and sunburst, the possibility of a few more colours in the range would be the only improvement that I could suggest.

For the price, you get a lot of quality for your money I found Thomann very good to deal with, pre purchase questions were answered quickly and delivery was prompt.
