Great instrument however you should note the following!!!:-
The slide had been placed in with the return spring off centre inside the body. As such the slide was completely jammed. Luckily I have other CX's and I know how to dismantle properly. The spring was irretrievably stretched and bent but I fitted a spare.
Your packers should at least test the slide before packing and sending. Quality control needs your attention!!!

The housing is weak and breaks easily.
Carol C 28.07.2024
My CX12 is wonderful except for the housing or casing that surrounds it. It breaks easily and has to be replaced which costs €42 with an added €20 shipping when bought from the
Hohner C shop. It’s totally unacceptable that this inferior casing is used when the harmonica costs €200 approx. Three of the casings have broken on me and I fixed them with epoxy glue but that only lasts a month or two. Then I need to spend another €60. I would like Thomann to demand that Hohner go back to the design table and design a casing that has superior quality plastic and where the holes in the casing into which the metal bar slots can withhold the pressure from the bar.
