Bought 5 of these. It reduces the sound greatly allowing me to practice at home without making too much noise (very happy neighbours!).
You have the option whether to hit the pad or the metal of the cymbal so you can really feel the impact better. It makes a tad more noise when hitting the metal.
No complaints with regards to the quality of the material.

Very quiet, Feels ok to hit
Sissyjer 15.01.2021
This cuts a crazy amount of volume from any cymbal and it doesn't feel bad to hit. Keep in mind that you'll still be able to hear the cymbal and your neighbors might hear it too but it won't be bothersome.
I would recommend this to anyone who wants to practice quietly!

Ideal for studing at home. I tried to make my own by cuttting some textile. This one has the right material and the appropriate thickness.

If you want to lower the sound of you cymbal, this is the thing. Even with it, it sounds good!

Works well on my electronic cymbals too...
Red<3NL 05.12.2023
I used these on my Roland electronic cymbals and hihats to help quieten the clonking noise that you can hear even with headphones on. They are not quite as responsive (obviously) but if the aim is to keep the acoustic volume down then these are just what you need.

Does exactly what it is for
Anonymous 27.01.2017
I use it for the ride, you can hit him on the rubber to have a full damper effect, or on the uncovered metal part and you have a less sounding one for a short bell sound.
Exactly what I need in my rehearsal room.

Cymbals not quite dead
David9361 13.06.2016
My cymbal set now has these fitted and it simply enables me to play them without disturbing others in an apartment situation.
By adjusting their position on the tilter thread it's possible to achieve more or less damping which is useful.
The rebound off the the damper is almost identical to that of the SoundOff drum mutes and you can easily hit the metal of the cymbal if desired.
