Excellent Classical Guitar - Amazing Price
David P Heyes 12.07.2020
Like many kids, remember the cheap classical guitars from school - the sort you can buy for £40 in charity shops.

I have several acoustic, electric and bass guitars - but no nylon strung guitar - so after a lot of research I settled on this one.

In short, a lovely guitar, well finished, sounds great - especially when amplified.

PROS
Quality for the price - looks very nice
Narrow body - rests easily and closer to your body, more like an electric
Sound - great amplified with good range of tone
Plays well - and the cutaway is a thoughtful addition.
Tuner - for this money, to get a built in tuner is amazing.

CONS
Narrow body - a good sound when plugged in, OK when not plugged in but you can't fight physics. The larger the body... well, the larger the sound!

Thomann regularly have the best prices - and easily the most reliable delivery service and best customer service... initially I ordered the wider bodied GA6 by mistake and Thomann quickly revised the order before dispatch and sent the right one.

A
Good option if you use it plugged more than umplugged
Anonymous 11.06.2016
I bought the guitar mainly for practising at home , and the general aspect is good, very comfortable to play and decently built by Ibanez, in the price tag.

That being said, it lacks volume and tone when played unplugged , as you and if you, like me played on solid tops such as Takamines or Yamahas, it will be really hard to settle for this Ibanez.

I think it will suit a beginner who is looking to play it mostly plugged.

I hope that helps your decision.

As Usual Thomann service was outstanding !

Perfect instument!
dusandelucia 20.09.2024
I really hate when people are writing for cheap guitars/gear like "good for beginners" etc etc. No, guys, cheap stuff doesn't mean it is necesserly for the beginers! I could play with this guitar on a stadion! On any cheap instrument, gear. The details and the name of the brand make it "non-beginners", other than that it is for professionals, for everyone! Great work as always, Iba!

Quite nice, especially for the first nylon stringed guitar
Archion 14.10.2021
I mainly play the electric and steel string guitars, so I decided to include a classical into my arsenal as well. The guitar has quite a mellow and quiet tone when unplugged so you won't disturb anyone while practicing. The pickup sounds quite good as well.

Amazing guitar for the money
DanielPicon 15.03.2023
I can’t understand why I waited so long to upgrade my classical guitar to this. My only classical guitar was the educational fender 100 euro model, for some reason the neck near the nut is not wide enough and it’s difficult for the fretting hand. I thought I’d get a new one and change it up a bit, thinline, cutaway and with a pickup, just to get excited a bit more about the upgrade. Once I started playing it was immediate perfection out of the box (after tuning)

The setup is absolutely perfect at least for me. And now I have decided to sell my educational fender as I’m sure I won’t be playing that any longer.

The sound (unplugged) is better than the full bodied fender classical guitar. I cannot talk much about the amplified sound as I don’t own an acoustic amp, although I did plug it into one of my electric guitar amps, at low volume it was quite nice, but I guess not ideal for a gig situation.

Great beginner guitar
Jakke420 28.04.2020
Got this as my first guitar and I love its looks & sound! The neck is nice & slim and the fretboard feels quite pleasant.

One thing though: there seems to be some mess-up near the lacquer of the headstock. The strings also looked a bit used. Did they send me B-Stock?

A good choise.

Recommended for beginners or intermediate players who want thinner body and lightweight guitars. The fingerboard is thin, almost like Ibanez electric guitars and the equalizer are basic but you can get a decent sound. The quality is ok for the price.

Nice Guitar That Needs Some Slight Adjustments
Peaceful Being 04.08.2024
The guitar sounds and feels great. The only drawback is the overall build quality (sharp frets, strong buzz on the high E string)

Fair for the price.
Do not expect a high end Ibanez: lacks finish (on the varnish), the sound control is quite bad and you have no onboard tuner...however it is a good start for a begginner!
