I was initially attracted to it by its beautiful and unique design. I love the black mate finish and the minimalistic appearance of the fretboard. It was stuck in my mind for months and I am pleased about this purchase.
The guitar has all the specs I was looking for (7 strings, ebony fretboard, neck-through-body construction). I was blown away by the comfort and playability of the neck, and by the acoustic resonance even when I play unplugged.
The pickups have a great tone and provide awesome sound both in high gain and clean stuff. They can support low tunings very well, giving clarity and energy to the sound.
Coming from an Epiphone SG, I feel this Iceman is a bit heavier but still comfortable when you play standing up. It has a little bit of neck dive, which can be resolved by using a leather strap. I liked the fact that it came in a gigbag, although I would love to see it in a hard case.
Lastly, a comment on the scale. I don't care too much about it. Perhaps, 27" could be the proper scale for a 7-string guitar, but this one sounds amazing having a 25" scale.
Overall, a great instrument both in construction quality and sound!
